So the question now is: How can the individual identify the clear signs of attraction?

Mon, 27 Jul, 2009

1. Visual contact This is when both a man and a woman gazed upon each other and instantly prolonged the moment as they look at each other longer than the typical glance. Both are completely immersed on each other's anecdote, and every word will impress them both. All eyes are glued to eed hardy watchesach other that send a message that they are drawn to each other. 2. Preen Preening means to adorn oneself carefully or to groom oneself with particular attention to details. Hence, attraction sets in when both would try to instantly make a quick fix and conquer each other's space. 3. Flirting ed hardy wristbands Teasing could have been the more appropriate term for it. This is when both sexes converse in a relaxed manner, with bodily actions associated to their thoughts and feelings, where, most often than not, sexual tensions and arousal are the primary upshots. 4. Physical contact ed hardy men apparel This is when a woman leans to wards the man and places a modest hand on his hand or arm. In this way, the woman is trying to tell the other person that she is attracted to him and that she is open to possibilities that involve the concerned person. All of these things are boiled down to the fact that the asymmetry of the correlation among beauty, attraction, and sexuality that tells both men and women lies on how they both perceive each other's physical attributes. This is inevitable because the lack of it will definitely keep them sexually estranged. ed hardy men hoody
Attraction is generally focused on imagery that is exclusively on the physical attributes of both men and women, where the society has created a very important role. This goes to show that the signs of attraction indicate the clear identification of desirability. Given all that, both men and women should make the choice, by and large, to take each other as human beings first and not just mere sexual objects. ed hardy women hoody
It should be well noted that these signs of attraction may be well confined on the premise that both men and women send out these signs as a ticket to conquer each other's space so as to start the "getting-to- know-each-other" stage.

Effective Birthday Invitation Wording Techniques

Thu, 23 Jul, 2009

You may think it's easy to design a birthday invitation, but when you get down to it, you may find that the wording is the most difficult part. Stumped for words? Read on to find a few tips on how to make your birthday invitation wording more effective and attractive. ed hardy You should always make it a point to include birthday invitation wording that adequately represents the celebrant. Is the celebrant a humorous person? Or a serious person? Someone who likes poetry? Someone who likes sports? Your invitation should be tailor-made according to the celebrant's preferences. It's not necessary to consult the celebrant on how the invitation should be designed, but your knowledge of the celebrant alone should be enough of a guide. If you are making invitations for your own birthday, make sure the wording will reflect your personality. Fun, witty people may appreciate having invitations with witty quotes on them. Something wholesome and "clean" would go over well in most caes. There are also quite a few "clean" passages that would suit every occasion - however, you must still exercise discretion. Not every celebrant would appreciate the use of humor on their invitations - and those who do, may be rather selective about the kind of humor to be employed!buy ed hardy Jokes about age, for example, require a very special sensitivity; you may consider it safe to include age jokes on an invitation for relatives or very close friends, but a more formal gathering may not call for such light-heartedness. If you are making invitations for someone else, the rule is simple: Do not make any attempt at humor that the celebrant him/herself will not make in front of the people who will receive the invitations. cheap ed hardy Serious people may prefer elegantly designed invitations with poetic quotes on them. A favorite poem or quote pertaining to the passage of the years may be a great touch. Don't flood the card with thought- provoking quotes, though! One or two short quotes is generally enough. ed hardy t-shirts
And if you're making your own invitations, a quote that you made up yourself would give the reception more value. Remember that the birthday invitation wording would be most precious if it were chosen or made by the celebrant him/herself! After all, every invitation is not just a card, it is also a souvenir for the people whoed hardy men t- shirts
attend the birthday gathering - a little something from the celebrant to the guests.

Model Needs ‘Fixing’

Tue, 21 Jul, 2009

CIT, once the biggest independent commercial finance firm in the U.S., sold for more than $61 a share in February 2007 on the New York Stock Exchange. The shares have since plunged to less than $2. A bondholder bailout of the company “means they’re not going to file tomorrow,” said Adam Steer, an analyst with CreditSights, before the plan was released. “I still, ultimately, think because CIT’s funding model is not fixed, there is a high chance that equity holders will be wiped out.” ed hardy women accessories Investors who exchange their holdings in the August notes by July 31 are being offered 82.5 cents on the dollar, while those who swap later will receive 80 cents. The offer requires 90 percent approval. CIT’s $1 billion in floating-rate bonds that mature next month climbed 17 cents on the dollar today to 87.5 cents on the dollar, according to data from Trace, the bond-price reporting system of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. The bond fell as low as 63 cents on the dollar on July 16, Trace data shows. Pimco’s Stake ed hardy bags purses Barclays Capital is arranging the funding, CIT said. Creditors include Boston-based hedge fund Baupost Group LLC, Capital Research & Management Co., Centerbridge Partners LP, Oaktree Capital Management LLC, Pacific Investment Management Co. and Silver Point Capital LP, a person familiar with the deal said today. Spokesmen for the funds either declined to comment or didn’t reply to phone calls or e-mails. Pimco, which manages the world’s biggest bond fund, is CIT’s largest bondholder according to regulatory filings. Mark Porterfield, a spokesman for Pimco, didn’t respond to a phone call and an e-mail seeking comment. The firm’s plight attracted the attention of the Treasury and Federal Reserve and lawmakers including Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank, the House Financial Services Committee chairman, on concern that CIT’s bankruptcy might worsen a credit crunch for entrepreneurs. Regulators turned down CIT’s appeals for help last week after Peek, 62, failed to convince officials that ripples from a collapse would threaten the rest of the financial system. U.S.-Held Stake ed hardy women belts The U.S. holds a $2.33 billion stake in the form of preferred stock, acquired as part of a rescue in December financed by the Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program. CIT converted to a bank holding company to also be eligible to sell bonds backed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The lender’s setbacks included losses on home mortgages, student loans and credit to commercial customers. CIT has $1 billion of floating-rate notes due next month, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The company has $10 billion of debt maturing through next year including a $2.1 billion credit line in April. Earlier, bondholders held calls to discuss whether to swap some claims for equity to reduce indebtedness, according to a person familiar with the situation. CIT will pay interest of 10 percentage points more than the three-month London interbank offered rate, people familiar with the matter said earlier today. Libor, a lending benchmark, is 0.51 percentage point. FDIC Concern CIT’s advisers, including JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley, held talks with other banks about a debtor-in- possession loan to fund the company’s operations should it enter bankruptcy, people with knowledge of the matter said last week. Bondholders hired law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and investment bank Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin to advise them, according to a person familiar with the matter. ed hardy men Jeans
The FDIC, led by Chairman Sheila Bair, was concerned that a U.S.-sponsored rescue, such as backing CIT’s debt, would put taxpayer money at risk because CIT’s credit quality was worsening, people familiar with the regulator’s thinking said this month. The agency’s main mission is protecting depositors, rather than bank holding companies and their investors. A halt in CIT’s lending would eliminate a source of funding for small firms when credit was already drying up. Banks tightened loan standards on small firms for 10 consecutive surveys, according to the Federal Reserve’s April poll of senior loan officers, and Advanta Corp., the credit-card company specializing in small businesses, cut off almost 1 million accounts in May after posting three quarterly losses. ed hardy women jeans
CIT has said bankruptcy would put 760 manufacturing clients at risk of failure and “precipitate a crisis” for as many as 300,000 retailers, according to internal documents.

Obama: 'Extraordinary progress' but barriers remain

Fri, 17 Jul, 2009

Speaking at the organization's annual convention in New York, the city where the organization was founded, Obama evoked symbols of the civil rights movement to describe the NAACP's influence on race relations in the United States. "What we celebrate tonight is not simply the journey the NAACP has traveled, but the journey that we, as Americans, have traveled over the past 100 years," Obama told a star-studded crowd that included music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs and poet Maya Angelou, to named hardy t-shirts

"Even as we inherit extraordinary progress that cannot be denied; even as we marvel at the courage and determination of so many plain folks -- we know that too many barriers still remain," he said. "What is required to overcome today's barriers is the same as was needed then. The same commitment. The same sense of urgency. The same sense of sacrifice. The same willingness to do our part for ourselves and one another that has always defined America at its bested hardy men t-shirts
." The "steepest" barriers are not prejudice and discrimination, he said, but the "structural inequalities that our nation's legacy of discrimination has left behind." Obama highlighted some of his administration's policies as examples of how the government is attempting to break down the barriers of inequity. "These are barriers we are beginning to tear down by rewarding work with an expanded tax credit; making housing more affordable; and giving ex-offenders a second chance. These are barriers that we are targeting through our White House Office on Urban Affairs, and through Promise Neighborhoods that build on Geoffrey Canada's success with the Harlem Children's Zone," he said. "When it comes to higher education, we are making college and advanced training more affordable, and strengthening community colleges that are a gateway to so many with an initiative that will prepare students not only to earn a degree but find a job when they graduate; an initiative that will help us meet the goal I have set of leading the world in college degrees by 2020," he said. Obama said the economy has made progress difficult, but assured the audience that his administration was working to "lay a new foundation for growth and prosperity" for future generations. "One pillar of this new foundation is health insurance reform that cuts costs, makes quality health coverage affordable for all, and closes health ced hardy women t-shirts
are disparities in the process. Another pillar is energy reform that makes clean energy profitable, freeing America from the grip of foreign oil, putting people to work upgrading low-income homes, and creating jobs that cannot be outsourced," he said. The president also talked about the need "to recapture the same sense of responsibility in Washington and in our own lives" that propelled the civil rights movement. "In particular, when it comes to education, we need better standards in our schools, excellent teachers in our classrooms, and parents doing their part to ensure that all our children can succeed, no matter what their race, faith or station in life," a senior administration official said. He urged families to help children with their homework, to put away the Xbox and encourage them to be more than "ballers and rappers" "We have to say to our children,ed hardy men apparel yes, if you're African-American, the odds of growing up amid crime and gangs are higher. Yes, if you live in a poor neighborhood, you will face challenges that someone in a wealthy suburb does not. But that's not a reason to get bad grades, that's not a reason to cut class, that's not a reason to give up on your education and drop out of school," he said, eliciting applause from the audience. "No one has written your destiny for you. Your destiny is in your hands -- and don't you forget that," he said. ed hardy 3xl and 4xl tees The excitement over Obama was in stark contrast to the reception of former President Bush, who had a strained relationship with the NAACP and declined the group's invitations for five years.

Firefighter to Take Spotlight in Sotomayor Hearings

Tue, 14 Jul, 2009

Opponents of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor paint her as a judicial activist, yet a key protagonist in her opposition, New Haven firefighter Frank Ricci, has been an activist in his own right. ed hardy
As both a firefighter and independent consultant, Mr. Ricci often pushed back against his employers, challenging their decisions to fire him and pass over him for promotions and to lobby for broad firefighter safety concerns. In more than 14 years as a firefighter, Mr. Ricci filed two lawsuits against the city of New Haven and appealed his dismissal from South Fire District in Middletown, Conn. Mr. Ricci also initiated an injury rehabilitation task force after falling down an open shaft while on the job in 2001 and worked zealously to promote new equipment that would improvebuy ed hardy
firefighting safety -- at times as a paid consultant, at times as a volunteer. Republican senators have pledged to bring up Mr. Ricci's bias case during Judge Sotomayor's confirmation hearings, which began Monday. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 at the end of June that New Haven wrongly discriminated Mr. Ricci and other, mostly white, firefighters who lost out when a promotion exam was scrapped because no blacks scored well enough to advance. Judge Sotomayor was a member of a three-judge panel for that had issued a one-paragraph ruling siding with the city against the firefighters. "He's very driven," said Des Mayne, cheap ed hardy
product manager with Williams Direct Dryers, which employs Mr. Ricci as a consultant on new firefighting products. "It is a dangerous occupation and he's going to do his best to make sure that danger is understood and mitigated." In court, Mr. Ricci's efforts focused on battling perceived slights when he was passed over for jobs or promotions. He filed his first lawsuit in New Haven in 1995 when the city chose not to hire the 20-year-old volunteer firefighter, allegedly because he was dyslexic. The case was settled in November 1997, when New Haven agreed to hire Mr. Ricci and pay $11,144 in legal fees. Mr. Ricci did not return requests for comment. ed hardy men apparel Less than a year later, he was involved in another job dispute. He appealed South Fire District Chief Wayne Bartolotta's decision to fire him after eight months as a probationary firefighter in Middletown, according to an August 1997 article in the Hartford Courant. Asked to investigate a high school fire near an asbestos site, Mr. Ricci raised concerns about the firefighters' safety, his supporters said at the time. "I am going to pursue this to the fullest extent of the law," Ricci told the Courant in August 1997. But a Connecticut Department of Labor investigation later cleared the chief of wrongdoing. ed hardy 3xl and 4xl tees Finally, Mr. Ricci was the lead plaintiff the group of mostly white firefighters who sued New Haven after the city tossed out a 2003 promotion test on which they had outperformed black firefighters. Mr. Mayne said Mr. Ricci's dyslexia may have prompted him to push on behalf of firefighters at large. He added that Mr. Ricci works hard to deal with his learning disability, often translating documents onto tape recordings. "He's able to empathize more with the failings of other people," Mr. Mayne said. In his consulting work with Williams Direct Dryers, Mr. Ricci helped to promote products including an emergency respirator for firefighters and dryers that help keep firefighters safe from steam burns, Mr. Mayne said. And he volunteered his time to the Yale University School of Medicine when David Cone, chief of the department of emergency medicine, conducted two studies of air quality in toxic emergency fire situations. "He recruited the companies whose monitors we used, set them up himself, made sure they were downloading correctly," Dr. Cone said Monday. "He was very "hands on" in both studies, ensuring that we got high-quality data." And when Mr. Ricci fell down an open shaft while searching for a trapped security guard in 2001, his seven months of post-surgery shoulder rehabilitation prompted him to start the New Haven Firefighters Injury Rehabilitation Initiative, a program designed to help firefighters recover from injuries and return to work. On his personal page on the Fire Engineering Training Community Web site, Mr. Ricci lists his department's top problems as "promotions, training, staffing and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration."

Burris Opts Against Running for Senate Seat Next Year

Fri, 10 Jul, 2009

Sen. Roland Burris of Illinois, who was appointed last year to replace President Obama in the Senate, has decided he won't run in next year's election, after his Senate service was clouded by controversy, FOX News has confirmed. Burris plans a formal announcement Friday in Chicago. ed hardy t-shirts
Burris reportedly reached his decision after struggling to raise campaign funds -- an estimated $20,000 so far, with campaign disclosures with the Federal Election Commission expected to be filed next week. A source told the Chicago Sun-Times that Burris has been very concerned about his legacy. "After 20 years in government service, Burris ded hardy men t-shirts

Rod Blagojevich appointed Burris on Dec. 30 to fill Obama's former seat over the objections of Senate Democratic leaders, who eventually welcomed Burris after being confronted with racial pressure. Burris is the Senate's only black member. At the time, Blagojevich faced a federal probe into evidence he had attempted to sell the appointment, and the Illinois Legislature later ousted himed hardy women t-shirts

Burris has denied paying for the appointment, though he has been alienated in the Senate since revelations he had not been forthright about communications with Blagojevich's camp. By not seeking a full term, Burris increases Democrats chances of holding on to the Senate seat in 2010. Republicans had viewed Burris as a potentially easy target if he were to run for a full-term in the Senate. Republican Rep. Mark Kirk of ed hardy clothing Illinois announced earlier this week his intent to run for the seat.

Scientists Create Human Sperm from Stem Cells

Wed, 08 Jul, 2009

Researchers at Newcastle University in England report they have coaxed the first human sperm cells from embryonic stem cells, in a remarkable demonstration of how quickly theed hardy men underwear
field of stem-cell science is moving. The achievement, described in the journal Stem Cells and Development, comes just 11 years after the first human-embryonic-stem-cell line was created — an eyeblink in scientific terms — in the lab ed hardy underwear
of James Thomson at the University of Wisconsin. (See the top 10 scientific discoveries of 2008.) Although the development once again raises the specter of creating humans in a petri dish or custom-designing egg and sperm cells for reproduction, lead author Karim Nayernia says that was not his team's intention. Rather, the experiment was a proof of concept that stem cells can generate any cell in the body — not only the dozens of tissues that make up the human body but also those egg and sperm cells that may give rise to altogether new bodies. "Other cell types don't generate the next generation," ed hardy women's one piece swim suit
says Nayernia, a professor of stem-cell biology at Newcastle University. "This makes a very big difference between our study and the study of other cell types from embryonic stem cells." Nayernia's in vitro–derived sperm, or IVD sperm, are not exactly like naturally occurring sperm, though they do bear four important similarities to the cells created in the testes. They contain half the number of chromosomes of other human cells (somatic cells contain 46 chromosomes, but egg and sperm cells have only 23, since they combine their genetic payloads during fertilization); they possess a head and a tail; they contain proteins essential for activating the egg during fertilization; and they swim, ed hardy jewelry or move as sperm do in seeking out eggs to fertilize. On the outside, however, IVD sperm are not identical to normal sperm. "We think, for normal structure development, sperm needs the testes environment," says Nayernia. It takes 15 to 16 years in the testes before the primordial germ cells that morph ed hardy scarvesinto spermatogonia, or a primitive precursor of the germ cells, are able to mature into sperm cells that can successfully fertilize an egg. (See the top 10 medical breakthroughs of 2008.) IVD sperm are not ready for transplantation into human patients — in any case, British law prohibits their transplantation into people — but they may provide valuable clues to the causes of male infertility. Nayernia's group is now working on creating sperm from the skin cells of infertile men (the sperm cells in the current study were generated from embryos discarded by fertility clinics), and by studying the way those sperm develop, researchers may gain insight into the origins of infertility and potential new treatments. Theoretically, for example, if sperm could be created from the cells of a cancer patient who is rendered infertile by chemotherapy, they could be grown in a lab and still enable him to father children. "This area has potential powerful clinical applications mixed with people's concerns over embryo research," says Insoo Hyun, a bioethicist at Case Western Reserve University who specializes in stem-cell-related ethical issues. "All the ingredients are there for a reallyed hardy shoes, really lively ethical debate." For now, the IVD cells allow researchers to witness the normal development of sperm for the first time. "In the human, sperm development is a very long process," Nayernia says. "It takes more than 15 years and is not an accessible system. With this system, we can now watch that development in three months." That's how long it took Nayernia's team to nurture sperm from embryonic stem cells, using a special cocktail of growth factors, nutrients and retinoic acid, a derivative of vitamin A. It is worth noting that researchers could generate IVD sperm only from male embryos; when they tried using stem cells from a female embryo, they were unable to get sperm to mature past the spermatogonial stage. That suggests that genes located on the Y chromosome, which female cells do not contain, may be essential for triggering the maturation of the primitive sperm cell. It's unclear whether IVD sperm may eventually be able to fertilize an egg successfully — the ultimate measure of similarity between IVD sperm and normal sperm. (Nayernia is currently testing whether mouse eggs fertilized with IVD sperm can lead to a healthy animal.) If the researcher can generate human IVD sperm that look like normally developed sperm and can get the artificially created germ cells to fertilize an egg, then he can allow the resulting embryo to develop for 14 days — according to U.K. law, embryos created for research purposes must be destroyed at that point. "We would need to study that embryo before we provide any clinical applications," he says. ed hardy socks ed hardy sunglasses That might seem more like science fiction than reality, but given the pace of stem-cell research, it may not be that far off. "We have the potential therapeutic use of a technology that pushes the boundaries of what people feel comfortable with ethically," says Hyun. With more advances like this one likely to come in months if not weeks, that comfort level will have to catch up quickly.

Davis, in a statement, said only after those conversations and conversations with Attorney General Henry McMaster and SLED Chief Reggie Lloyd will he take a public position on Sanford's future. "Obviously I have tremendous concern for my friends, Mark and Jenny Sanford and their family, but I also have a job to do as an elected official," said Davis, a Beaufort Republican. "Before any important decision I make comes due diligence, and I owe it to my constituents to perform that due diligence before taking a public position on an issue as important as whether to call for the resignation of aed hardy men apparel duly-elected statewide official." "Accordingly, I have met today with the governor and members of his staff; I have had telephone conversations with my friend, Jenny Sanford; I have talked with the governor’s legislative supporters and opponents; and I have talked with key reform leaders who have been fighting for the issues I believe in — fiscal responsibility, limited government, market principles and individual liberty" On Wednesday afternoon, Senate President Pro Tempore Glenn McConnell became the latest — and one of the most significant — members of the S.C. legislature to say the governor should consider stepping down after admitting to an affair. On Wednesday morning, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., urged Sanford to make the "right decision." “He’s dropped the flag. The rest of us have to get up and go on,” DeMint said during an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.” “A lot of us are talking to him behind the scenes in hopes that he'll make the right decision about what needs to be done.”ed hardy 3xl and 4xl tees Asked what the “right decision” would be for Sanford, DeMint said: “I don't want to say.” Twelve of the 27 members of the state Senate's Majority Caucus now have signed a petition, calling for Sanford to resign. Health-Care Activists Targeting Democrats

Wed, 01 Jul, 2009

By Ceci Connolly Washington Post Staff Writer Sunday, June 28, 2009 In the high-stakes battle over health care, a growing cadre of liberal activists is aiming its sharpest firepower against Democratic ed hardy scarvessenators who they accuse of being insufficiently committed to the cause. The attacks -- ranging from tart news releases to full-fledged advertising campaigns -- have elicited rebuttals from lawmakers and sparked a debate inside the party over the best strategy for achieving President Obama's top priority of a comprehensive health-system overhaul. The rising tensions between Democratic legislators and constituencies that would typically be their natural allies underscore ed hardy shoesthe high hurdles for Obama as he tries to hold together a diverse, fragile coalition. Activists say they are simply pressing for quick delivery of "true health reform," but the intraparty rift runs the risk of alienating centrist Democrats who will be needed to pass a bill. In recent days -- and during this week's congressional recess -- left-leaning bloggers and grass-roots organizations such as MoveOn.org, Health Care for America Now and the Service Employees International Union have singled out Democratic Sens. Ben Nelson (Neb.), Mary Landrieu (La.), Ron Wyden (Ore.), Arlen Specter (Pa.) and Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) for the criticism more often reserved for opposition party members. "Will Mary Landrieu sell out Louisiana for $1.6 million?" says one Internet ad that suggests a link between contributions she has received from the medical industry and her reluctance to back the creation of a government-sponsored insurance option. ed hardy socks In many instances, the ad buys are relatively small. But Obama demonstrated the political power of Internet-based grass- roots activity in the presidential campaign. Still, as health care moves from electoral rallying cry to the tedious work of legislating, Obama finds himself caught between his campaign foot soldiers and the elected politicians who will vote. One of his most stalwart supporters, for instance, says time is running out on efforts by the president and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) to forge a bipartisan compromise on legislation affecting more than one -fifth of the economy. "We are getting to the point if people aren't going to respond to the patience and openness of Senator Baucus, we should begin to make a different plan," said Andrew Stern, president of the 2 million-member SEIU. Stern said his organization issued a release chastising Feinstein last week, because she should "put her foot on the gas, not the brake" on health reform. "The gas pedal to go where?" Feinstein replied, explaining she has questions about how a broad expansion of health coverage will be paid for. "I do not think this is helpful. It doesn't move me one whit," she said. "They are spending a lot of money on something that is not productive." Much of the sparring centers around whether to create a government-managed health insurance program that would compete with private insurers. Obama supports the concept, dubbed the "public option," but he has been vague on details. Left-of -center activists want a powerful entity with the ability to set prices for doctors and hospitals. But in the Senate, where the Democrats do not have the 60 votes needed to stop a filibuster, members are weighing alternatives such as a nonprofit cooperative or a "fallback" provision that would kick in only if market reforms fail. "Democratic senators are taking millions of dollars from insurance and health-care interests and getting lobbied by those donors and coming out against a position that 76 percent of Americans agree on," said Adam Green, interim chief executive of Change Congress. While recent polls show high initial support for a government option, the number declines if told the insurance industry could fold as a result. Change Congress and its sister group Progressive Change Campaign Committee are airing cable and Internet ads against lawmakers such as Landrieu and Nelson, who have not endorsed a robust public plan. Green, in an interview, was hard-pressed to articulate a substantive argument for the public plan but said that it "has become a proxy for the question of Democrats who stand on principle and represent their constituents." The Web-based MoveOn.org plans to run ads this week against Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) over the issue. "The Democrats were voted into office to fix this problem," said MoveOn political advocacy director Ilyse Hogue. "It is absolutely our job ed hardy sunglassesto hold them accountable." One Democratic strategist who is working full-time on health reform was apoplectic over what he called wasted time, energy and resources by the organizations. The strategist, who asked for anonymity because he was criticizing colleagues, said: "These are friends of ours. I would much rather see a quiet call placed by [Obama chief of staff] Rahm Emanuel saying this isn't helpful. Instead, we try to decimate them?" Richard Kirsch, campaign manager of the labor-backed Health Care for America Now coalition of 1,000 groups, believes grass-roots pressure and targeted advertising are already having an impact. After the group aired a spot in Pennsylvania attacking Specter for remarks critical of a public plan -- and supplemented that with flyers and phone calls -- the lawmaker shifted. At an event Thursday, Specter said he is willing to consider a compromise. "That shows Senator Specter has come a long way," Kirsch said. Listening to constituents, even those speaking over the airwaves, is part of "representative democracy," Specter said. But Kirsch may still end up being disappointed by the newest Democratic senator. Specter, voicing the sort of flexibility the groups dislike, said, "This legislation is so complicated and so important that we all ought to be flexible and not approach it with fixed positions." Like Specter, Wyden is sanguine about ads in his home state intended to pressure him to embrace a liberal bill. "I get an election certificate from the people of Oregon," said Wyden, whose bipartisan health bill picked up its 14th co-sponsor last week. "As far as these ads are concerned, I pay them no attention." Super Washed Cap King Skull in Aqua
