NEWARK -- Hundreds packed the covered rink at the Prudential Center in Newark, munching on Jersey fare from local restaurants, to cheer on Gov. Chris Christie as the state's 55th governor. A congratulatory message to Gov. Chris Christie and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno scrolled along the LCD screens that ring the upper decks, and mock highway signs -- including a Turnpike welcome sign with "Chris Christie, Governor" at the bottom -- were set up around the room.
